I wondered where I inherited my love of junk shops and car boot sales.
My Maiden name was Chandler. This picture is of my grandparents on my Fathers side. It must have been taken around 1915 ish. It is a second hand shop. 244 Fratton Road. (Now a block of flats. I believe those chimneys on the left can still be recognised on the pub which now stands next door.)
I don't know the lady on the right of the photo but the gentleman on the left is my Grandfather Albert Edward Chandler. I never knew him as he died aged 42. He had been in the Royal Irish Regiment. Center, is My Grand mother Nellie Chandler.
